BUDOOR EBRAHIM

Flowers burst out from Budoor’s large, textured canvases. Sweeps and daubs of vivid colour convey her intense response to the beauty of nature. These smaller panels, created at the same time as the larger flower works, further explore the effects of layering paint. The trace of Budoor’s brush and palette knife is clearly visible; dragging and scooping thick layers of oil paint to create textured surfaces.

Born in Abu Dhabi, UAE, She studied at Zayed University. After graduating in 2006 she began teaching visual art in different schools. In 2015 Budoor started painting her watercolors and then switched to acrylic. At the beginning of 2021, she began to paint her oil masterpiece paintings, which focused on the flowers and plants of the UAE, in a contemporary abstract floral style.
